Hoo-ray!

Another post! I'm really on a roll!

Quite seriously, this is going on much more frequently than I had expected. In the end, it's a lot of fun, almost as much fun as a barrel of monkeys. Rolling down a hill. Towards... the ocean. Yeah.

Anyway, talking to Kaylene Dyer right now. She's a friend who moved away, sadly enough. She's a really great person. Indeed.

Just got back from a sort of orientation for Seminary next year. Well, great. There was a song... there were some talks... and there was a funny movie where all the Seminary kids get stuff out of their Bible, quite literally. For example, when they're reading about the Ark, one kid gets a facefull of wind and all that blowing on him, so he slams it shut, and when he peeks again, a splash of water soaks him. Plus he gets the horn for Jerico, and the plans for Solomon's temple. Quite some loot.

Err, I guess that's what's going on. Right-o. Bye.

Serious fireworks!

Woah! Serious fireworks erupting!
Quite seriously. Here's the story: We bought a job on our backyard from a guy who now turns out to be a scammer. He charged us something like $1000-$2500 for the job beforehand, and $1000 after. So he gets to work, and it's all crap. Nothing good. Rough cement, poorly done miniwall, etc. Then comes the capper: He's redoing the cement, and he brings in a cement truck. They won't pour cement until someone has paid, but they insist that we are paying for the cement. What? Wow. I don't believe this, but it's absolutely true. Ah well. Such is life.

Hrm. Andy's gone at the Stake Super Activity, which is actually just painting parks. Or maybe fences. Nothing really special, more of a service project than an activity.

Baptism for a new member at 3:30! Hooray!

Erm, nothing else new. So that's the news.

What's up!

Well. It's Sunday. What a great day.

Been camping a lot lately. In the rain. *sigh*
We went up to Mt. Tamalpais. We were originally going to hike about four miles, but it rained too hard, and we were all too miserable, so instead we hiked about a quarter of a mile to a viewing station on top. It was a fire watching thing, to watch the little fires that were inevitably going to pop up here and there.

Anyway, there was also a giant ampitheater, whose name I don't remember. It was MASSIVE, however. Like, large on the uber scale.

Nothin' else much going on. Although good news is that I've started up communications with Jay Mattinson again. He has the ticket for the trip and so it's final and settled! Riggidy-roll!

Big Bear

Whew! Third post ever.

Right now I'm in Big Bear. It's down in SoCal. I'm typing this on a laptop with little to no response from the spacebar. It's also not exactly running like a cheetah, we'll just say. It's a little slow.

Well, Katie and Mia are here, of course, along with Gary and Dad and Mom and pretty much everybody but Paul and Melissa. Which makes me sad. I really haven't seen them since Christmas, so you can understand, I suppose.

I read the newest Artemis Fowl book in about an afternoon and a morning. I was gonna save it for the trip, but that worked out well. Hrm.

Instead I've got Lord of the Rings, some paper (note: that's a picture of flash paper) and a pencil, and a game called Cashflow. It's pretty cool; you try to escape the rat race by getting your passive income to be greater than your expenses. Interesting game.

Speaking of which, I'm gonna try and convince everybody the play a game. Talk to you later. If I can.

April Fools Day

It's April Fools Day!

I've decided to do something more with my blog/journal. I'm supposed to be doing it regularly, so I'm going to try and do it Sunday and Wednesday, and go from there.

Anyway, Paul called recently! News is the move is done, and everything's going well. Just two carloads, as he said. Sounds like he has exactly the right amount of stuff for where he's moving. I told him about my idea for a funny picture, namely to take the part from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade where the guy drinks from the wrong cup, then make him say, "TELL ME I'M PRETTY!" We'll see where that goes.

Did I say something about the hike a while ago? Well, one of these Thursdays past, we went on a hike. Robert Stevers, Tom Ross, Brother Ross, some of his co-workers, Brother Taylor, and Andy were all there. Oh, and so was I, unfortunately. Anyway, I made it to the top, and apparently a few didn't make it. Weird, huh? Like, someone who was supposed to be in shape, an adult, didn't make it, but I did. Probably because I knew that if I didn't, bad things would happen. So, yeah.

Well, that's a lot of Google Image searchs for one day. That's all, folks.
